FORESIGHT – the ability to predict, anticipate, or plan prudently for future events
The September SAT is tomorrow! I wish I had the FORESIGHT to predict which words will be answers to the vocabulary in context questions. Unfortunately, that is impossible. But we do know that SAT test writers regularly recycle a number of questions. Given this predictable pattern, I predict that several of our 45 High-Frequency Words will be on the test!
HINDSIGHT – the ability to understand an event or situation only after it has already happened
Tomorrow at this time I will be reading and studying posts on Reddit about the September International SAT. I will be very excited when my Substack lists score direct hits. But I will be very upset when I see new words we missed. With 20-20 HINDSIGHT, I will be saying, “I should have known they would ask that word!”
