EXCITING NEWS! I can now report that my lists of High-Frequency, Double Trouble, and One Hit Wonders produced an impressive 16 Direct Hits on the October 3, SAT – hooray! Here are the hits:
CRITICAL, INCONGRUITY, CONJECTURE, PREVAIL OVER, HALLMARK, BREADTH = IMPART, MANIFEST = EVIDENT, HETEROGENEOUS, INCONSEQUENTIAL, SALVAGE, INNOVATIVE, INCIPIENT, IMPEDE, SKEPTICAL, SATIATE, and ENIGMATIC.
In addition, I have repeatedly warned my students and subscribers that ATTENUATED is a WRONG ANSWER. As predicted, ATTENUATED appeared as a tempting distractor on a challenging question in which INCIPIENT was the correct answer.
Posts on Reddit indicate my vocabulary lists are producing hits on this year’s PSAT. For example, students are reporting that INCOMMENSURATE, OBVIATE, COPIOUS, and CORROBORATE were all answers on difficult vocabulary in context questions. If you are taking the PSAT be sure to check out my lists of key must know vocabulary words!!
As always, the SAT included several new words. I have already written posts for THROUGHPUT, ADMONITIONS, CANDID, DISPEL, PARAMETERS, and OBSCURING. During the coming days I will post new reports on ARBITRARY, AUSTERITY, SUFFICIENT, and REGULATE. So stay tuned! Stick with Insidertestprep – The Krieger Defense Forces will not let you down!
