My students recently reported that the tests they took in March 2026, May 2026, and June 2026 included a significant number of vocabulary words that have appeared on previous tests. This is not a surprise. An exhaustive analysis of all available materials about Digital SATs administered from March 2023 – June 2026 revealed that about 1/3 of the vocabulary in context questions are repeats.
This discovery has exciting and important implications for students preparing to learn SAT vocabulary words. Memorizing long lists of words that may or may not have appeared on the SAT is a pointless waste of time. Instead, there is a group of High-Frequency Winning Words that deserve special attention.
This premium portion of my Substack platform will focus on vocabulary words that have appeared as answers on three or more tests. Amazingly at least 1 – 3 (and sometimes more!) of these High-Frequency must-know words have appeared on each of the 25 digital tests from March 2023 – June 2026. I will enlarge and update these posts after each SAT!
