The head-tiling pose illustrated by the dog in our picture is an easily recognized and adorable trait. Why do our furry friends tilt their heads? Is it simply a charming indication that a dog is listening to its owner? Or is there a more subtle cognitive process at work? A Hungarian research team led by Andrea Sommese and Adam Miklosi conducted a scientific study to learn the answers to these questions.
