    The test-optional movement peaked during the Covid-19 pandemic. But now more and more colleges are requiring SAT scores. Here are some notable examples: DARTMOUTH announced that beginning with the Class of 2029, all applicants will be required to submit SAT or ACT scores. MIT announced that beginning with the Class of 2027, all applicants will be required to submit SAT or ACT scores. YALE announced that beginning with the Class of 2029, all applicants will be required to submit SAT or ACT scores. BROWN announced that beginning with the Class of 2029, all applicants will be required to submit SAT or ACT scores. CALTECH announced that beginning with the Class of 2025, all applicants will be required to submit SAT or ACT scores. UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN announced that beginning with the Class of 2026, all applicants will be required to submit SAT or ACT scores. So be sure to prepare for the SAT!
