SAT READING: EVIDENCE-BASED QUESTIONS
Strategies for tackling evidence-based questions on the SAT Reading section
Published on May 12, 2025
Evidence-based questions are a key feature of the SAT Reading section. Here's how to approach them: First, read the question carefully to understand what type of evidence you need. Second, return to the passage and look for direct support for your answer. Third, eliminate choices that are not directly supported by the text. Fourth, choose the option that provides the strongest textual evidence. Remember, the correct answer must be explicitly stated or clearly implied in the passage.
